  1. Ditto!!! I am going to use the same rules as you, but up it to $50 because we have to feed 4 (and we don’t have a CSA).

I did one last year it it was great!!!

  2. I need to do a pantry challenge – haven’t before because I usually just plan out a few meals that revolve around pantry items like canned soup/pasta/etc. I’m excited to see what you come up with!

  3. pantry challenges are the best! we’re in the middle of ours right now and it’s fun getting creative with what you’ve got on hand. i can’t wait to see all the awesome you all create. yay!

  4. Yeah, good one! Pantry challenges are definitely fun, and I find the BEST way to get me to be creative in the kitchen. It’s all too easy to just buy stuff and make what you know. But if you have only quinoa, eggplant, and a spring onion in the fridge you gotta get creative.

I try and do them a bit more often now, but less strict.

Looking forward to hearing your success!

  5. I sooo have way to much food in my pantry and it just builds slowly every week after I go shopping. I spend about $800 a month for a family of 4 so you can imagine the extra dry goods I have on hand, and that does not include freezer items. If you don’t mind I am going to incorporate this into my blog too! Awesome idea!!!! Thanks
